The Tuition Service is a new and exciting way to learn web design. It uses a mixture of one to one teaching, email and telephone support and on-line learning to deliver an individualised learning programme.

The service is mainly aimed at people who would like to (or have to!) design a web site for themselves, their business or other organisation and are not quite sure where to start and/or don't really have time to teach themselves.

There are many advantages to DIY web design, not least saving on the cost of a web designer. This service means that you still save on the cost of your site design while still getting the invaluable insight and experience of a professional.

What can I learn?

Learning programmes are developed based on individual need with content mainly being drawn from the following areas:

• Macromedia Dreamweaver
• Macromedia Flash
• Macromedia Fireworks
• Adobe Photoshop
• MS FrontPage / Office
• Actinic Catalog
• Macromedia Contribute (available soon)

How are courses taught?

Courses are taught one to one at a place and time that suits you. This service is currently only available in Hertfordshire and North London. All teaching materials are provided. Advice can be given on the purchase of software suited to your web design needs.

How much does it cost?

£25 per hour (minimum one hour lesson).
